Description

First impressions matter. When and how we communicate with our students before the semester begins can influence their persistence and success in our courses.

A Liquid Syllabus is an accessible, public website that incorporates a brief, friendly welcome video and course information written in welcoming, student-centered language (Pacansky-Brock et al, 2020; Pacansky-Brock, 2017, 2014).

In this workshop, participants will learn about the advantages of using a liquid syllabus, review sample liquid syllabi, and learn how to create liquid syllabi for their courses.
