Committee Charge
The SLISC monitors and coordinates ongoing efforts to improve student learning and instructional support opportunities in alignment with the College’s strategic plan and accreditation (ACCJC standards IIA [Instructional Programs] and IIB [Library and Learning Support Services]). Broadly, the SLISC facilitates all levels of curriculum planning, development, and review, as well as library and learning support services in order to ensure compliance and support student success.
- Provide oversight and collaboration for all issues relevant to the Student Learning and Instructional Support Committee (SLISC) to ensure the applicable accreditation standards (ACCJC Standard IIA, IIB) are met.
- Provide oversight and collaboration for all issues relevant to SLISC to ensure the applicable strategies within the strategic plan (SP 1.1, 3.1, 3.2, 4.1, 4.2, and 4.3) are met.
- Engage in conversations and work to facilitate the effective implementation of subcommittee (Curriculum, Distance Education and Information Technology, Foundations for Academic Success, and Honors) charges, Task Groups (such as: Guided Pathways Clarifying Group, Dual Enrollment, and Assessment – Multiple Measures), and to integrate the work of the various constituency groups within the SLISC to ensure collaboration and efficient progress towards the goals of the SLISC, and support the subcommittees and Task Groups in efforts to achieve their annual goals.
