Mini-Grant Request for Funding
The CRC Office of Philanthropy (CRCOP) provides monies for projects not funded through the normal budget cycle. Funding for this grant opportunity comes from donations to the Annual Fund and fundraising events. The mini-grants are intended to provide an opportunity for support of special projects that directly improve student success or teaching and learning effectiveness.
All Cosumnes River College faculty, staff, and management are eligible to apply for CRCOP support during the open application period. Preference will be given to applicants who have not received a mini-grant award in the past year.
CRCOP will give priority to proposals that demonstrate direct support for students and/or the ability to support and enhance student success. Ideal proposals should relate directly to the College Wide Desired Outcomes which include: Student Success, Access, Teaching and Learning Effectiveness, Community and Economic Development, and Organizational Effectiveness.
The maximum funding level for a regular mini-grant approved proposal is $1,000. The maximum funding level for field trips is $1,500. The number of awards and amount depends upon annual CRCOP fundraising efforts. Mini-grant funds are not to be used for ongoing program support, instructional equipment, or for compensation to Los Rios District employees. Grants are not meant to supplant dollars already in a departmental budget. Applications should clearly demonstrate any/all additional resources that will be used to defer project costs.
