This dynamic workshop is an introduction to Universal Design for learning. Topics discussed will include biological underpinnings of learning styles, dyslexia, and how multiple modes of learning can be used to make the curriculum more accessible to all learners. Presenter
By night, Nina G is a comedian performing at comedy clubs and a keynote speaker. By day she is a counselor at a California community college where she works with students with disabilities. She has been featured in/on everything from NPR's 51%, BBC's Ouch, Psychology Today, Tedx, KQED radio, and multiple daytime talk shows and podcasts. She is the author of three books including her memoir, Stutterer Interrupted: The Comedian Who Almost Didn't Happen, which chronicles her journey into being the only female stand-up comedian when she started in 2010.
