Description

This semester instructional faculty have the opportunity to use Pronto to enhance their presence in their online classes. Pronto is a mobile app that connects to Canvas, allows synchronous video and auto-translated text messaging, and encourages student-to-student interaction. (Yes, it works via a browser too.)

In this workshop, we will use Pronto and discuss the importance of giving students agency with an intuitive tool that humanizes the online environment. Bring your awareness that students already communicate directly with each other; leave with an understanding of how that discourse can become inclusive and supportive with a tool like Pronto.
